3 Times Square - West elevation. This was a unique installation, requiring a roof derrick used to hoist seventy-five, 2000-3000 lb steel box car sections hundreds of feet above the streets of Times Square. Working so closely to the property line of the historic and landmarked New Victory Theater and above one of the busiest subway stations in the world, 42nd Street and 7th Avenue, added additional levels of complexity requiring full roof protection for the theater as well as a one-of-a-kind cantilever sidewalk shed that was suspended over the iconic stairs of the hundred year old theater. The end result is pretty impressive and can be seen as far away as New Jersey.
